Pavillion Renovation March 2006
On Saturday 11th March Daryl, Bex, Richie, Darren and Colin turned up to do a spring clean and start to get the pavillion ready for the summer. The intention was to work on the pitch and tidy up around the place.
When we got in the pavillion however, we were greeted with a depressing degree of water damage caused by a leaking pipe under the sink. A little investigation showed that the damage to the carpet was irreparable and so we had no choice but to rip it all up and start again. Since we all like to get our boots of and relax at tea time it was simply too bad to repair. Because of this it was also decided to remove the kitchen entirely and move it towards the back wall of the pavillion. The main point of doing this extra work is to make better use of the space available, improve the kitchen facilities and generally upgrade the appearance of our home for us and our guests over the coming years.
A couple of hours work later and the results are there to see. This is only the beginning, work HAS to be done NOW and simply cannot be ignored. We need to redecorate the walls, install the new kitchen and get a new floor down in time for the summer.
